TMB Planner was built by three friends from Denmark who fell in love with hiking. A project by HikingFriends DK
When COVID-19 locked Denmark down, our founder Prasanna started walking laps in his garden. Not for fitness goals or Instagram. Just to stay sane. Just to keep moving.
Those garden walks became 5 km outdoor routes through the Danish countryside. Friends started joining on weekends. No app, no plan — just "see you Saturday morning."
A family trip to Leukerbad, Switzerland. The first real mountain hike. Standing on those trails, surrounded by peaks that dwarfed everything back home — that was the moment. Hiking wasn't exercise anymore. It was adventure, connection, discovery.
Months of research. Routes, refuges, gear lists, training plans. Then the trail itself — the first half of the TMB with a small group of friends. Vijay Balakrishnan joined and his energy made the whole trip possible. 85 km of alpine magic.
Back on the trail to complete the circuit. Anbuselvan Sivaraju joined the crew. New legs, same spirit. The second half was harder, wilder, and more beautiful than we imagined. 170 km, done.
We spent hundreds of hours planning our TMB treks — researching refuges, mapping routes, comparing gear. TMB Planner is everything we wish we'd had. Built from real experience, for real hikers.
